Direct Connection

I've seen the Direct Connection logo on various Mopar performance applications over the years, but what exactly is Direct Connection?? I know there is a Direct Connection Performance Book. Is there a company that exists as Direct Connection -or is it a thing of the past. I couldn't find much of anything on the web. The one site that I did find, while it listed a lot of useful info and links, was not the Direct Connection I was looking for... What am I looking for???

Direct Connection used to be the performance wing of Chrysler. About 10 or 12 years ago, they changed the name to Mopar Performance, despite screaming and yelling by Mopar fans.

I wish they'd go back to Direct Connection, IMHO it sounds cooler than "Mopar Speed Shop"

Direct Connection was preceeded by "Hustle Stuff"


Used to have a shirt that said "I get mine from a Direct Connection" kind of drug terminology. Back when Mopar realized that in order to be be competitive they had to offer good deals on quality parts. Now they offer shit at high prices!

Really? That's odd, my car was practically built out of the Mopar Performance catolog. Must be some pretty good shit! :-)
