Eddie, I tried to use the "contact us" feature, but it wouldn't work - apparently because I'm using MSN8.

Anyway - as you know, I've been helping my sailor Son, Dave, build his '66 Barracuda that he calls "Hellfish". He is deployed again on his aircraft carrier, looking for terrorists.

From time to time there are threads on the forum that I would like to email him. He has access to email, but no access to any other features of the internet. When one sends a thread through "email this thread to a friend", all they get is the notification email. He can't access the actual thread through the notification email. When I try to copy the portions of the thread I want to send him, your software won't allow it. The only way I can accomplish what I want to do, is to re-key everything I want to send him. This is very tough on me, since I'm a one fingered typist.

If you have any solution to my problem, please email me at ThunderboltRanch@msn.com

Thanks a lot.

One of the ways I send threads to friends with "email only " access is as follows:

With the thread up I'm reading in the browser, I click on "FILE/SAVE" and change the FILETYPE to "TEXT", not HTML. Ususally I save it to my desktop so I can see it.

I then find the file I saved, right click on it, then under SEND TO, I select EMAIL RECEIPIENT and it sets up an email to send the whole thread. It can be annoying casue it saves all the text on the thread and sometimes I clean it up a litlle, but it works.......

See why there are forums? Been doing it my way for years. It works, never thought twice about it and just found a new "easier" way. I think in Send/Email way tho it's sent HTML, and depending on what mail reader the recepient is using, it could be an issue.

MSN8 only has "send link by email", and that doesn't work.

Thanks, though.

Then the cut & paste solution is realy the only solution available. You can either do as suggested above, or you can click on post reply and the hgihlite and copy the areas the you are interested in, instead of retyping it.

Maybe???

Email the thread to yourself, then you can copy and past it into a email for Dave.

I dunno....maybe...just a thought???
