Default ... and a 727 question

I have always had a problem with my trans not wanting to forward or reverse when stone cold. I would take it that it must be a oil drain away problem not to have pressure on cold start, the only way to get motion is to bring the revs up, which makes it sound like I have a 5,000 rpm stall convertor. When hot, no probs, it's just first up in the day after everything has sat for a day/or days. I have rebuilt the trans a coupla times, each time looking for things, cleaning out the valve body etc, checked the pressure relief ball/spring.
Any suggestions?
Also, thanks for the tips on the 2/3rd overlap in one of the other posts.

I believe trans guys call it morning sickness.

Usually related to clearances in the pump/ torque converter area.

I don't remember any more than that about it.

Weak seals or poor clearances allow the torque converter to drain back into the tranny. After you start it, let it worm up in 'N'eutral. This will allow the pump to push fluid back into the converter, while you are warming up.

Contrary to popular belief, converter drainback is a normal occurance.
The only solution, other than the good advice to start up in Neutral, is the installation of a special manual valve to allow the converter to fill in Park.
TransGo kit #SK TF-SC has the valve.
