Help Radiator Core - Help Needed!

Hi

I am having difficulty finding a radiator core manufacturer that can offer a copper core that matches the following specifications:

16 Fins Per Inch
5 Core
200 Tubes (40 Per Row)
20" High
½ " Centres
23 5/8" long ......... 24" OK
Thickness 3¼ " ........This is the hard part! 3¾” is too big!

Can you help me locate a suitable core?

Thanks in advance.

Go to a local radiator shop that does custom builds and get them to make you one

Don't know your application, but think you're heading in the wrong direction. Latest thinking on radiators is toward larger tubes, like 1" or 1-1/4" and fewer rows. Cooling capabilities are enhanced by the increased tube to fin contact offered by the larger tubes.

Thanks for your time .......... For information

The vehicle is a Jensen Interceptor fitted with a 440 (standard fit). The engine bay is small and overheating has been a problem in most Interceptors unless your fans and radiator are 100%.

My radiator is due for a recore and I want to fit the best system I can. The spec above was recomended by an American owner some time ago ............... Have things changed much?

I can't pop down to a local rad shop ....... I live in England and large V8 radiators dont sell well here, gas is now $5 a gallon! The choice is very poor.

Do you know of any core manufactures web address so that I can see what cores they offer?

Any thoughts .............?

Choper sorry I did'nt see you were in the UK. I doubt you will find the exact rad you are looking for with out a custom build. I think you best shot is try to find a rad shop that does custom builds they should have a book that they can order cores, tanks, etc from. Have them order the parts and build your rad, they can take all the necessay mesurments and get it right. If you try to have one built long distance, you will must likely have a fit problem.(mounting brackets, etc)

Custom radiators shops in the UK = £££££

"They look in a book" ............ Not in the UK!

There are three core manufactures in the UK and none make anything suitable. I am aware that a USA company makes a standard (not custom) core with my spec ---------- I just cant find who they are???? Can anyone in the USA radiator buisness look in the book for me ---- Please?
