Default 904 To 727 ?

While building my small block up, I have a 727 that I would like to put in and Im wondering what I will need to know before hand as to look out for. My concern is will my neutral safety switch and back up light harness fit the same as my 904, and in the same general location. Also are the trans fluid lines the same or will I have to replace them w/the correct bends. Thanx .

I don't think there will be any differences except for size. The output shaft is larger which will necessitate a slip yoke or complete shaft change. May require a flexplate change, there are 2 sizes, and it may be a little longer than the 904. If you are running an externally balanced engine you need to make sure the 727 converter is for externally balanced engines. The 904 and 727 converters are not interchanageable. (in. shaft size)

They use the same fluid. Length, as said, the 727 is longer.
Grab the correct conveter for your engines balance. Watch for bolt size on the converter to flex plate.
Grab a deep pan if ya can.
