I've seen some posts asking about tire clearances before, and I just got done putting a B body rear end in my 70 Cuda, so I thought I'd ley anyone that's interested know what I ended up with. As most of you know, the B body rear is narrower than the E body piece. You can change the spring perches on the B body rear and bolt it in the E bodies for a little more tire clearance. I put Centerline 8x15s with 3&1/2" backspacing with 235/60x15 tires on the car after the swap (this is what I had on the car before and the tires rubbed the fender lip on bumps). Now, with the inside lip rolled up, I have enough clearance to run 265/60x15 tires with no problem, and there is enough room to run 9" wheels with 4&1/2" backspacing easy. The springs were not moved at all, the only change being the B body rear end. Hope this helps someone out!

Christopher, the front has 14x7 Centerline knock offs (the whole set of wheels only cost me $100 so I guess I can live with fake Centerlines on the front) with 205/70's. I'm not sure about the offset, as I haven't measured them, but I would guess them to be about 3". At any rate, I have plenty of clearance in the front and no problems with the tires rubbing anywhere. I'm hoping to pick up a pair of the 9" wide Centerlines with the 4&1/2" offset for the back later on so I can take advantage of the 1&1/2" of clearance I still have on the inside on the rear. The more tire you can stuff into the rear wheelwells on these Cudas, the better they look!

I agree!! We had a 71 Cuda that I stuffed M&H 10x28's in the rear and a 215/75/15 bias ply on the front with 5.5 steel wheels.Rear had 8.0 steels.I put the Mopar Dog dish hubcaps on them with brushed trim rings and it looked nice.
