Default Ign: how much is 2 much?

Hey guys, wondering if you could help me out, I found a great deal on an MSD 7al-2 box, I can get it for the price of a 6al and it;s brand new, but I'm wondering How much is too much when it comes to these boxes, I'm gonna be running a street stip 440 I mean it's gonna be pretty wild, but just looking at the 7al2 makes me think an alky drag car, am I right here, should I stay away? Any help would be great.

Corey

Well you can run them on gas just fine, doesnt have to be an alky car. I run mine on gas, but its going to be alky this year...lol

I dont know if I would run one on the street for any length of time. It is pretty hot and may be hard on a few parts. If its just a slightly used cruiser go ahead. Heck if its cheap enough why not buy it and put it up for sale with a profit...the american way. Then get what you want or need.

Default No thanks

I was worried about the box lasting on the street, that was why I questioned it. I'd rather not got throught the troulble of buying and selling it so if anyone is interested, it's a MSD 7al-2 for $200. If you're interested email me at plymsatellite66@hotmail.com and I'll put you in touch with the guy.

thanks

Corey

If its going to run see any street time, use the 6AL box, you will have just as planty of spark in your RPM range! The others are made for extreme conditions and can be run well over 8,000 RPM's.

Default Mopar Perf. 6al?

Well, taking your advice, I've steered away from the MSD 7 box, now the guy offered me a "Mopar Perf. 6al" box. Has anyone heard of this? I've done some searching and can't find any info on it. Any help would be grear, he says it's the same as a MSD 6al, only it's black. Please help

Thanks
Corey

That is correct...made by MSD for MP
It'll be fine if you have any trouble with it we can check it out and usually fix them.
