caveman, you may want to check the rim size. I have a 79 truck with 16.5" wheels, and 16" wheels won't fit...they hit the calipers.

caveman-
If you ever need wheels, check out "The Wheel Place" in San Jose, CA - area code 408. Sam has just about everything, or he can get it.

I run 15's on my 3/4 ton. Just grind the caliper a little. 16 and16.5's are more limited and the 16.5's, good luck keeping the bead. The bead seat area is slanted not flat like a 15 is and rims are more plentyful and cheaper.

How are you getting 15" wheels on your 8 lug 3/4t ? As far as I know nobody makes them, are you sure you dont have a heavy half ton w/5 lugs? I had a dodge van that was rated as 3/4t on the door jamb and the title but was a 5 lug.Let me know if I'm in the dark will you?.....PRO....

Pro sorry it took so long to respond to this I forgot about it. Anyway I Have a 70 dodge 3/4 ton and I nstalled a dana 44 front out of a 75 chevy 3/4 and I installed the power steering and power brakes from the chevy too. As far as Im concerned Dodge never made a power steering in the old power wagons that was worth its weight in scrap. I love the rest of the truck though. Now, I have 8 bolt 15 inch white spokes on this ride. You can get 15s from I think summit under the super trucker line. 4wheel parts whsl has them too. All my fellow 4xers have 15s on there rigs also. I have not seen alum 15 for the 8 lug but I havent looked either I can not run them because I run 5/8 studs and 1 inch coarse threaded lug nuts. Try to find a lugnut to fit that size and thread for alum rims http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/smile.gif

Working in the wheel and tire bussiness I can tell you this. If there is an 8 lug bolt patern in 15" in alloy wheels I have never seen it. Your best bet is stay with steel, or if you want more selection then go to 16's. One other thing your wheel studs are 9/16 thread pitch as are most early 8 on 6.5 bolt patterns. Old Dodge 3/4 ton had 1/2"x20 thread pitch.
