Default Lifters...update..not good

As I continue to try and follow the lifter situation I found out some important news yesterday.

The Johnson plant does in fact have a pending sale to an American Company who I won't identify at this time at the presidents request.

Some of you may have heard who it is but the deal is not made yet so treat it as rumor...I'll let you know how things are going over the next few weeks and update you before the news is released to the general populous.

Here's what's going on as of yesterday:

The purchase agreement had been signed by both party's, the financing had been arranged and they were waiting for final inspections and approval of the deal by the various Government agency's...now you know there's trouble...the Government mean anything to you guy's?....how about ...E....P....A

So now you know were in trouble...seems they didn't look after their lawn very well and it got a little bit of oil and other nasty things spilled on it....to the tune of $25,000,000.00 worth of clean up...scary huh...it doesn't look good.

A deal that was 99% done last week and plans were already made to start production this summer is now many steps back to about a 50/50 chance of happening and getting worse by the hour.

The financing Bank is in negotiations with the EPA and the Owners of the Johnson plant but there not making much progress so far anyhow.

I'll keep you posted as things regress or progress.

Just so you know, Johnson manufactured 65 MILLION units a year...and supplied every aftermarket Cam company in the U.S.

Don,

What is the deal with the lifters? What are they in reference to? I'd like an initial briefing before the update. Thanks.
