Lightbulb C.I.D Formula

Well, this is as I know it....I've had it written down in my address book for over 10 years now.....

B x B x S x .7854 x #of cylinders. If this is wrong, please put me on the firing line, but if I got it right....then TWO CHEERS!

Now I just have to find the darn stock bore and stroke of my 440. Can anyone fill me in on this, if it's in the top of their head? I promise I'm not being lazy. I have looked in my HPBooks "How to Rebuild Big Block Mopars" and I have not seen it yet.....I'll continue to research.

Ultimately, my 440 will be somewhere around a 498 (as speed-O-motive quotes it, for a .030 over bore) or 500 cu in motor when it's done. I'm not sure what the stroke will be when the new stroker crank is in. Hey, maybe I should ask those little details when I through my money over the counter! Ha!

Fare well

This works too!

Radius squared (1/2 the bore) inches
X
stroke inches
X
3.14159
X
number of cylinders
= cubes

To go to liters divide by 61

Good day!
