Question

Hi

I just bought a '68 Fury III and am in the process of restoring and improving it. I am fitting a hi-po 440 and 727 in place of the 318 and want to make sure I have rubber to match my new performance. I've heard that all rear drive Mopars are 5x4.5" PCD - is this true or is my Fury 5x4.75" (I've also heard this said).

Next up - what are the factory offset/inset figures for wheels on the ol' car. I live in England and nobody seems to carry info for this car here. I wan to run 7x15 fronts with 8x15 rears (or larger if they will fit under stock arches). Anybody know if his will all fit? I want to run 225/50-VR15 fronts and 265 or 285 /50-VR15 rears. Modifying the bodywork for clearance is not what I want to do - so no tubs!

help and suggestions please! Most wheel/tire dealers here just hold details on Japaneese and European FWD stuff.

Some of the C-Bodies had a 5 on 5 wheel pattern Chrysler never made a 5 on 4.75.

the only patterns for 5 bolt wheels are as follows:
(I could be wrong though I dont know everything)
5x4 - (Found on A-Bodies only)
5x4.5 - (Found on all cars)
5x5 - (Found on some C-Bodies)

as far as i know in the 60's and 70's this is all there was.

Just more useless knowledge I have stored
atleast till someone needs it.

Thanks. Hope I'm 5x4.5 as wheels for the 5x5" are not so common - I know as I have a Big ol' Buick (a '66 LeSabre - don't hate me for it though!) and that has 5x5". I guess I can compare up the wheels (see if they interchange) to check if in on 5".
