Default 1st time engine build, looking for a little help

I'm preparing to assemble my first motor and I would rather do it right then learn the hard way. I'm wondering if anyone know of any books that are really good that cover complete teardown and rebuilds for small blocks. Thanks in advance

Go to your nearest Mopar Dealer and order the Mopar Engines Book...excellent and easy to understand.

I believe Mancini also carry's that book in stock.

I Chilton car manual would be nice too. It will cover evry thi ng about your car also. There car specific, I have had good luck out of the Haynes manuals at the local autoparts. Listen to 66Cuda hes knows what he's talkinh about. The Mopar manual now are enigne family specific. I have the old one were they stuff all of the families into one book.

How to rebuild your smallblock Mopar by Hofer/Taylor. An HP book. This is an EXCELENT book.
IMO, the Chilton can be spotty for specific info need for this.
The engines book is also a great book. Just not a step by step book.
