Angry Diesel motor shutdown

I have a DodgeRam 2001 cummins
the motor seems to shut off while driving down highway.
Anyone else have this problem? If so how did yu repair it, i have already put in new fuel pickup pump to no avail it still happens.

Dealership seems baffled. Diagnostics shows no problem.

Diag on the 24 valve leaves a little bit to be desired. I would bet if the lift pump psi is ok, you are probably going to see a new injection pump in your future. Could be a apps sensor, but I would bet the pump is on it's way out. Hopefully something will happen long enough to set a fault code so you have some clue as to what direction to go.

Cry

To the tune of 522.00 I had a fuel modulator replaced.
The Dodge garage also replaced a b034 Recalled part what ever that is.
I will be back on the road tomorrow, by the time I reach Maine I should know if this is the correct part. Driving to the garage ( 25 MIles) this morning truck shut down 3 times.
Mechanic is confident he repaired, however I am still leary.
WIll update more once I have tried a long distance drive.

Fuel modulator?? If there is a part number on your receipt post it here. I've never heard that terminology. I work on most of the diesels that come in the door for the last couple of years since our main diesel tech left. I've learned a lot, but have much more to learn. I also took delivery of an 01 2500 Cummins after waiting patiently for nearly four years for that perfect trade in.
