Default 6 t0 8 in a 66 dart

Will my 72 340 exhaust manifolds on my 360 fit when I swap my 360 into my 66 dart GT?

I don't quite understand why questions are asked about slant six to V-8 swaps in the slant six forum.
Anyway if the manifolds clear(it will be close on the drivers side) the oil pan may not. You are lucky that in '66 Mopar used the dropped V-8 drag link in all applications, before that , slants got a straight drag link. You may need the early 273 pan and exhaust manifolds. Also the slant six cars had 9" brakes and a smaller upper ball joint. The heavier 360 will add a little more strain to that.
Why not build up the slant and look for a V-8 car for your 360?

Default Headers

Hey Man
I have a 66 Belvedere i converted from /6 to a 318. i got headers for a 74 challenger free with the motor and they fit like a glove. A 360 is a wee bit bigger so you may have problems with the steering box. Other than that it shouln't be a problem.
Hope that Helps

First, a 360 is no bigger than a 318 except in cubic inch, same size externally.
There's a BIG difference between a B body '66 Belvedere and the early A body '66 Dart. In '67, the A body engine compartment was widened 2"-3". That makes headers or stock exh easy to find and fit. The '66 273 Darts had a special exh manifold to fit the tighter engine compartment. The K member was also different in '66 so your oil pan may have to be modified.
Again, if it was a '67 up, no big deal, '66 down creates problems but they can be overcome with lots of work.
Why not Hot Rod the slant six and have something different? A well planed out slant in very streetable trim can outrun stock 383 Road Runners and late Dakota R/Ts with 360s in them.
