904 tranny updates. Trans GURU help please

OK trans guys,

The tranny on the 5th went out yesterday. Can you guys give me any updates for a '87 904 lock-up tranny. I'm going to rebuild it this weekend. Just a stock rebuild but I want it to last. This car is driven at why speeds (75-80mph) most of the time.
