Default will the brake set up from my 7 1/4 work on my 8 3/4

will the baking plates and brakes from my 7 1/4 work on my a-body 8 3/4 cuz those brakes are prcey from auto zone $160 for drums only please help

No they won't. The 7 1/4 has a four bolt flange and a smaller bearing hole. Modifying it is not really an option either.

i have the backing plates will the drums work, did the 8 3/4 come with 9 inch drums
will the wheel cyliders work ithe reason i ask is because the brakes oon 7.25 are new , or is every thing differant

if you have the 10X2.5 brakes the brakes will interchange to the 8 3/4. Did this swap about two years ago, when the 7 1/4 blew up.

Shop around on those drums man. They are an extremely common part and I'm pretty sure I can buy them for about $40 canadian each($25 usa money).

Should be equally common from a local junckyard if you need them.

Will need to be 10". I don't think you could ever get 9" on that diff. Only 10 or 11.
