Disk Brake Help
I am changing the manual drum brakes to disks on a '70 Duster. I used a '74 Dart as a doner. Everything is done except the master cylinder. The Dart had power brakes and I want to keep manual.
What do I do about the master cylinder? The old one has a rod in it and the one off the '74 doesn't. What's the fix? Thanks in advance Tom |

The rod comes out of the old cylinder. You will have to be forcefull.
Once it's out, it may not fit in the power cylinder(I don't think it will fit) so you will have to get a rebuilt one for a manual disc brake 74 dart. You will need to get the rod out either way. A rebuilt cylinder shouldn't cost much, and they probably won't notice if you stuff your drum one in the box for the core, |
