does anybody like the big wheel small sidewall look? i'am going to put some 17 inchers with 275-40-17 and 215-45-17 on my 69 charger for next year! i haven't seen any big wheels on muscle cars at any of the shows that i have been to this year.

Hey, I was looking at doing the same thing with my 74 Charger! I want about to run 17" wheels, but am not sure what style I want to go with yet. What style are you going with? American Racing Torque Thrusts? Let us know when you do get the wheels on it! I'd like to know stuff like if they rub, how they look, how much you'll have to lower it to get the right look, and stuff like that...

We run 16" on the front and 17" in the rear (70 Challenger) with 50 series tires that give us the same wheel well fill as the original 15" 60 series did. I don't mind the small sidewall look, but didn't care for the look with small diameter tires in the wheel wells. Most of the low profile tires are 25 to 26" in diameter and a 2.55--60-15 is 27.1". A 2.55-50-17 is also 27.1"
