Default I've got some e-body and big block questions.

I want to get my car on the road (getting the summer driving itch). I have my transmission already but no engine. It's a big block 4spd set up. I have been looking and have only come up with two canidates. #1 a mid 70's Cordoba with a 400 (read stroker motor) and #2 a '68 Chrysler 300 with what I belive to be a 440. The old turkey that has the 440 won't sell the car yet, but I might be able to get it, I just don't know yet. If I get the 400 I'm considering a 470 stroker (anyone here have one?), and if I get the 440 I don't know if I would stroke it or not. My main question is which one of these would I be the happiest with? This is my first Mopar and I've never had a big block.

Now a little bit about my car to help you out:

4 spd
8 3/3 surgrip with 323's
all new ploygraphite bushing
new big block rear springs
the biggest front and rear sway bars I could get from PST
it will have a/c, p/s, and p/b
currently has 318 torsion bars (will this need to be changed?)
new kyb shocks on all corners
15x7 rallys on the front and 15x8 on the rear (I don't know squat about tire sizes)
plan on building subframe connectors for it
the car will mainly be for fun, but want it to have enough balls to hold its own if some retard starts mouthing
it might see the track about once or twice every five years
I would like to try a demon carb and plan on having headers and two chamber 40 series flowmaster mufflers

I'd say do the 440 for a drop in and drive -o-rama torque monster. The stroker has merit, but would require more time to build. Unless you have a machinest thats not busy, and what one isn't, it may be tuff to complete before driving weather is here.

(Pssssssst, it's here!)
