Question 3/8" fuel line - Demon carb

My 440 is still sputtering through the gears and it has been suggested that I install a 3/8" fuel line and a new Demon carb. The question I have is what do I need to change on my fuel tank to accept the 3/8" line and can I use the Summit complete furel system with the Summitt 140 gph pump and the 5-12 psi fuel regulator? I currently have a 750 eddy with stock fuel pump and lines. The 440 has a radical purple cam, headers and 3:91 posi rear end, 4-speed hurst. Please advise. Thanks Dean Prevolos

A 3/8 line is good to do. But it depends on the HP output of your engine. I would do a 3/8 line.
You can use your old sender if you take it out and drill out the old pick up tube and weld in a new one.
(Year one has 3/8 lines ready and waiting for a price)
The stock pump isnt up to task for powerful engines. But I have used the Carter HP pumps without problems. Simple bolt on unit. They come in 2 flavors after stock. Hi pressure and really high pressure.
The summit set is ok to do. The Carter Mech pumps are almost that GPH flow. That means less hook up hassle.

Instead of drilling the sender for the 3/8" line, use a tapered punch over a 1/2" deep socket to swage to hole to where it fits snugly over the 3/8". This gives it a chamfered edge and makes it a whole lot easier to solder (looks better too).

I think Rumble is referring to the Carter 4862 BB Mopar 120 GPH pump.

I've had pretty good success with this pump up to about 400 HP although the longevity of the pump leaves allot to be desired, most loose volume and pressure in about 5,000 miles...but $79.00..you get what you pay for....

Fine Lines or The Right Stuff has repo fuel lines in SS and stock steel for a cheaper price that year one. Jacob's Restoration Parts just introduced SS sending units for $90 too.

Speaking of MCG, does anyone have the add/address for the advertisment for the replacement dash speaker grille designed to hold 3 gauges for E-body's.
