Help Push Button Auto trans Rebiuld

Does anybody know of a company that makes an overhaul kit for my transmission? Also where can I find a good manual on the process, since I will be rebuilding it myself, the local shops quoted me a price of $750 or more because they consider it an ancent transmission!
Also will a converter off a 1964 slant 6 work with the big block? I just replaced the converter in the slant 6 about 6 months ago.

Thanks for any help in advance.
Chuck

Chuck, The B&M transkit should cover your application. It comes with most of the needed pieces, outside of bushings. It also comes with instructions. If memory serves me, it shows some steps for the older '62-65 torqueflite trannies. Call B&M to make sure about this. As for the converter, not sure about the slant 6, but a converter company like Coan may be able to help you out.

Rick Allison of A&A Transmissions has the stuff you need, and so does Turbo Action.

I have rebuilt many Torqueflites over the years, The push button models are not mush differnt than the later models. It can be kind of a pain in the a-- to get the cables off the trans when removing it from the car. As for the convertor interchange you must first make sure it is from a 727 or a 904(small case) some early slant 6's and heavy duty applications had 727 trannys. Also 66 & earlier convertors had a differnt spline count than later ones. count the spilnes on the tranny input and reactor shaft (the larger splines surounding the input shaft) If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.
