on my 1969 dart swinger I have 215 70 R 14 on back and 205 75 R 14 on front. I guess they look ok, but I am planning on changing to 15 or 16" wheel in the future.

On my 74 Dart when I bought it had 205/70-14 front and 235/60 14 on back with the stock 14 by 5.5 rims. I think in the rear you could get a 225/70-14 on without a problem.

I'm not sure how large the wheel wells are,or aren't on your car. However,I have 14x6 American Racing wheels on my 93 Shadow with 205 60 R14 Road Hugger gt-a tires.

Thanks for the input everyone. I went with 235/60R14 on the back and 195/70R14 on the front. The car has a lower/stock look which I like and the manual steering is so easy to turn now with the smaller/narrower tires up front.
