What's that thingy?
On a 82 slant 6 with electronic lean burn there is a senor next to the oil pressure sending unit. It has three terminal on it and one terminal gets 12 volt (red wire), the other wire I believe is dark blue and goes to the electric choke and the last terminal has a tan wire that doesn't attach to anything. Any ideas?

I saw one of those on the '80 motor I just bought. I'm guessing that it is a pressure switch that only allows voltage to the choke thermostat when the engine is running. I think the tan wire is to the oil pressure light. I'm wondering if I can use it for a safety to the relay on an electric fuel pump.

Your right, I figured it out. Red wire is 12 volts when the key is in the on position, the other gives 12 volt to the electric choke when the engine is running and the tan wire is for the oil light. Can't see why you couldn't use it to switch an electic fuel pump relay, sounds like a good idea.
