57 hp...... per cylinder x 8 = 456 just a guess. I gotta figure out how to use that desktop dyno. Last time it told me to change the bore or stroke to get an answer!

until you change that carburetor, about 200 hp.
after you get the proper carb (...anything but that chev garbage) you can probably get that combination to make almost 500 hp. |

I have the dyno software too. I think its in accurate. I have took many engine from build up tech articals from different mags and compared them to the dyno ware. These engines were many diff kinds not Just Mopar, which included 4 bangers to V-6's. There are never close, 90% of the time they software is below what the real world tests are, of coarse not all dynos are equal, and engines for that matter. I think the dyno software is somthing to play around with. Things like blow by, ring wear, leak down test is not a factor in the game, which it is. Only perfect world figures which seem to be inaccurate, as much as 25% in some cases.
You will have a 500 horse motor if, you have a 100 horse engine at all. and 500 lbs/ft of torque. If you can take a stock fresh 440 engine all fresh and bolt on a stock set of Edelbrock untouched heads along with a performer RPM intake and 750 vacum carb and get 500 horses, you will have that and more. That engine was tested on one of the most accurate Dynos out there. Like the guys say, do it a favor and get a real carb!

The eddys flow around 300 cfm out of the box! That doesnt suck in my book. That flow is over 40% than stock 906's at just over 210 cfm. I wouldnt dump that kinda money in 906's too. I port my own heads, with some 2.14 & 1.81 valves with moderate bowl and short side work they still wont be up to par with the stock Eddy heads, maybe around 260-275 cfm. 300 can be had, but to pay for that kinda port work would be about the same price as the eddy heads in labor alone. Seeing most charge about 40-50 $ an hour. I had over 50 hours in the last heads I ported, so that means around $2500 labor. And not close to full potiential.
