What weight oil should I run in my 380 hp cratemotor? Thanks,Fred

In another topic the guy said it was recommended to be 5-30 Castrol

I have to concur with amxauto-x.
Start with 5w30. Monitor the oil pressur during the run in period though. You'r down in a warmer area, and a new motor will run hotter. If the pressure seems to drop off a bitt when warm, you way want to bump it up a bit. |

I have a 360/300 in my truck and have used Mobil One 10w30 since the motor hit the 3000 mile mark, 30lbs oil psi @ idle, no problems
