GTS-R air scoop - Moparchat

Can anyone explain the prupose behind the roof mounted air scoop on the ORECA LeMans racing versions? I saw the race on TV and was wondering were the vents were leading too.

The intake on the roof is for cooling of the differential, like in the GTS/R Concept car.

actually it is NOT for the cooling of the differental. the scoop on the roof is to cool down the cockpit of the viper, where it gets VVEERRYY hot.
