Just about any sub will work. I gave my girlfriend my old JL Audios for her single cab. I prefer those because they require the least airspace to fire, and they can be mounted in almost any direction (except straight up). As far as boxes go, QLogic makes some decent ones for single cabs, and JL makes a nice "stealth" box for just about any application. As far as any other subs go, that's up to your personal tastes.

It's not designed with the Dakota specifically in mind if that's what you mean. They have some generic boxes that sit behind the seats at a slight angle, and they have some that are "styled-to-fit" - it's not generic (fits anything), but it's not custom molded or anything. And yes, the seats will go all the way back. If you have the misfortune of having one in your town, stop in the car-fi section of Best Buy/Circuit City and check out their stuff.

Default KAPTION

I run 2 12" Kaption duel voice coil subs in a custom box behind the seat of my dak it hit 138 the last time I tested it with a 50 watt amp but I have it set up for sound quality more than pound.
