Hello, I drive a 1997 Sebring JXi with the 2.5 Liter Mitsubishi-built V6. It is a great car but it falls flat on it's face at 108mph. The convertible was not shipped with Z-rated tires and has an electronically imposed speed limit at 108. The coupe (supposidly sportier) does not have this limitation because of the z-rated tires as basic equipment. Local dealer and several others just shrug when asked if they can remove this limit.
Any ideas? |

you bet I do, try removing the fuse, if you dont know which fuse it is, try asking the dealership(if they will tell you that information) I bet its the tach fuse..or the speedometer fuse, good luck....

First, you need to know the input to the pcm(powertrain module) and install,on this circuit, a signal generator that will override the original signal,a kind of toggle switch in the dash. You may try to inform your self at a"speed shop".
