ANYTIME YOU HAVE A "FACTORY" PROBLEM, SOMETHING THAT EAS BUILT INTO THE VEHICLE FROM THE FACTORY YOU CAN CALL THE DEALER AND ASK IF THERE IS A TSB(TECH SERVICE BULLETIN) THIS IS HOW THE FACTORY ADDRESSED THIS PROBLEM UNDER WARRANTY. IF YOUR NOT UNDER WARRANTY IT WILL AT LEAST GIVE YOU SOME WELL THOUGHT OUT ANSWERS. ...PRO..

The rear springs cause the R/T to sit 2" lower in the rear,and Chrysler says there is a probability of the rear axle housing hitting the frame under a full load,therefore,they have limited the R/T to a towing capacity of 2000lbs.They are buying back R/T's for some owners regarding this problem.
