Default Whats my wheelbase?

Just making sure I get my wheelbase right when I order frame conectors. Is it 108" or is it 111" ? I have a 2 door Dodge Dart, I have heard the 4 doors have a longer wheelbase then the 2 doors but I also am pretty sure the Dusters and Demons had a shorter wheelbase then the Darts. So would my wheelbase be 111" as I suspect?

The '71-'72 Dart Demon, Demon 340, '73 Dart Sport, Sport 340, and '74-'76 Dart Sport and Sport 360 were 108". What yr. and model is yours?

In '71-'73 my info shows Dart, Dart Custom, and Dart Swinger, all 111" as well as my previous post.

Default 71Dart666

Do your self a favour and log onto bigblockdart.com. Under misc check out the installation of the weld in frame connectors.
I modified the installation slightly by using 3x2x1/8 x16" long overlapping and coming off the back rails and then overlapping 44" of 2x2x1/8" tubing with 4" extending to mate up with the front rail. All for a 111' wheelbase. No relocation of emergency brake cable required.
It requires some extra fitting/grinding time to get it all together but sure makes a nice clean and efficient installation and in my estimation 2000% (okay 200%) better than the bolt in type.

Well I wanted to get bolt in connectors and then just have them welded in for extra strength

Question Question about wheelbase?

I remember reading that Chrysler advertized that the Challanger had a 1" longer wheel-base than the Cuda.
Anyone know about this or even remember?

I think the Cudas wheel base is three inches shorter than the Challengers.

If you gonna weld in the connectors then the bolts will be obselete...i wouldn't waste time with bolt-ons, hole elongation and weakness are what i've read about bolt-ons. I know i'll be welding in mine. Check out www.autorust.com, mopar muscle, car craft or somebody used theirs and they loved them. Their 3"ers require a notch in the rear floor pan but the structural stength is well worth it.
