Default AR Engineering engine cart????

anyone had any experience with these units??????

http://www.4secondsflat.com/arenginestd2.jpg

I'm considering purchasing one cause I don't want to haul my nice shiny new motor home with the $200 Milodon offroad oil pan supporting it in the back of my 83 one ton beast..

any thoughts would be appreciated..

Thanx

Blygy

stick it on a couple of tires and be done with it!!

actually that's how I got mine home (from the junkyard)

two years later, when I took it home from the machine shop, I built my own, very easy.

I first built an extra hd furniture dolly with 4 wheels on it out of wood. I then bolted two 2x6's to it to straddle the oil pan, so that motor is being supported by the block (panrail) and the pan sat nice and snug between the 2x6's. then I just covered the boards in carpet

Biggrin

It looks like it was hand built, nicely engineered, But the welding looks suspect

Note To: dkn1997@aol.com The alumnium engine dolly in the picture looks like it came out the back door of Grumann in Calverton. (Inside Long Island Joke from a former Long Islander)

they should have shifted production to hardcore car parts, then they could have stayed here!!!!

I have about 10 of those engine dollies in my shop. They work great. The big 4 inch caster lets them roll easily and they breakdown for easy storage.

Not sure I understand the comment on the welding. You can't even see any welds in that picture. Besides, none of the welds are structural, they just hold the thing together.
