New to S/C....questions.
Hey everyone, I'm just doing some brain storming for later projects for my Challenger. After the resto it'll be a 383 4 speed car, 516 heads, 9.6:1CR, Perf. RPM intake, Lunati 292/.480 cam, Holley 650. Now what I'm brain storming as money becomes available......swap to open chamber heads and thick gaskets, get CR to around 8.5:1 or 9:1, get a centrifugal s/c and intercooler and run about 9lbs boost. Also a new cam more suited to the s/c. Has anyone done this? How would the s/c work with the carb? Also I have a shaker hood, I'm trying to figure a way to keep the shaker and plump the s/c to the carb.

Yo 70, I'm doing the same thing with my 68 Charger. Gotta 440 with 8.5 comp, roller cam and train, will be EFI'd with a centrifugal s-charger. Oh yeah, I'm gonna convert to a shaker as well because us Charger boys got screwed on a cool hood. Blinkers in a recessed hood? Gimme a break!! I'm studying up on the combo which should'nt be too hard to build. The only thing that's gonna be hell is grafting a shaker setup to the EFI. Of course I got about 3 years to figure this out. Keep us informed bro and have a good one.
