Default Oil Pan Time

Hey guys,
I've finally saved enough coin to get a decent oil pan for my 318. It's a mildly built but nothing phsycotic. Anyway who makes decent hi capacity oil pans for a 318?? I hear that the pump i have will throw all the oil into the heads if it's run above 5k for more than about 30s.

Sound like BS to anyone? the guy i heard that from was not my favorite person...but he knew his mopar...yeah well any reccomends on pans??

Thanks!

Your mopar friend is full of crap. As for a pan goto www.kevko.net . They have an almost stock pan that holds 6 quarts with baffels and 2 gates for 170. It fits all chassis without mods. Same depth as stock but goes more forward toward the K frame. Have one on a 360 in a race car. Good pan for the money. Cheaper than most. Dont forget to put a windage tray in it. Get it from the dealer. Goes around bottom of the crank. This stops the crank from slinging oil around the bottom of the block and whipping it full of air. Oil pumps womt pump air. It also slows the crank down too.
