Default header fit

i have a 65 dart gt and was lookin at the headers on a buddies 70 dart. i looked at both cars and am wondering why the headers for that a body wont fit an early a body. i have been told by several sources they are different but i dont see the difference in the 2 cars. his were not fenderwell headers and i swear they look like thay would fit, there must be something to it thoughi am just not makin the connection. someone set me straight. thanks
