The next step for my friend's '68 RT Charger are street/strip heads. Before we make a move, I was wondering if anyone has heard rumors of the aluminum Edelbrock RPM RB heads?

christopher; I called the Edelbrock tech line the end of November. The tech I talked to said that they havent even started tooling up yet.He thought it would not be till late spring IF they started right then.(That was then, with that tech.) Give them a call and let us know. Sure would be nice to have another big block alternative.

Edelbrock told me the heads wont be out until this summer. No word if they will have a victor series head along with the rpm.
World Products has also come out with heads. They have a torquer series with specs similar to the Indy sr and also a 440 pro head. Thier web site hasnt been updated with specs yet.
I read somewere Holley is going to come out with bb mopar heads also.
With the head choices between:Edelbrock, Indy, Holley, Brodix and Mopars confusing dozen, the prices should start dropping. I hope to see bolt-on 300+cfm heads for less than $1,500.

Question

Any of these aluminum heads an open chamber design? Right now the 440 is running bone stock 452's with TRW dome pistons.

Cool

HemiMike If you want some good heads to tide you over till the Edelbrock Heads are ready then get the Mopar Performance Template porting package and port your 452 heads by doing the bowl work you add quite a bit of CFm to those bone stock heads and get you one more season til fall when the edelbrocks come out.

Just my $.02
