Help Racing with an early 727

Need some feedback on using an early 727 with short housing (I think its a´65) with the different spline count input shaft.
It will be used for street/mostly strip behind a hot 360.
It has a manual valve body, additional friction plates and a 9" converter.
Thanks

I use an early cable sifted 727 in my Dart. What type of feedback are you looking for?
I changed to the later input shaft, removed the rear pump, and also removed the parking mechanism. I do have a pre-67 race HEMI converter for the early shaft that is in good shape.

The real down side to the early small input shaft is the lack of variety in converter choice, other than that the only major weak point is some early 3 pinion planetaries had half-pinned axle shafts that are known to break and allow the shafts to come out
