Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, though looking for something with axles, and closer to home (Mississippi).

Cool Verona

Hey RC, good to see another Ms boy on the board! I don't recall the name of the place but there used to be a guy in Verona, Ms. that had some Cummins and would even do conversions. I think he charged around 4500 to swap into an older truck. I had a buddy who pulled his Challenger with a Mid 70's 4 door 3/4 ton and he was thinking of doing it. The bad news id my buddy Bill past away a couple of years ago and I don't know the name of the place.
If you find it I would like to know I have been thinking of putting one in my jeep

Good Luck!

Why ? - the weight and torque of the engine. When Mopar did that Cummins package they had to modify that chassis big time to accomodate the new motor.

YES the swap has been done on the early trucks - I hear - BUT those swaps were done on 1 ton chassised trucks.

JUST what I have heard............although I have 2 diesel trucks now - a 94 2500 and a 98 3500 - I have never done any kind of extensive work on it.

BTW - the 98 is fore sail.
