My only real memory of one was at Piedmont
Dragway, near Greensboro,NC. It was a test an tune, no handicapping. This one I later found to have been given the turboII treatment(170-ish hp?) I saw this thing take out a '67 Chevelle big block. Looking around at the pathetic faces of the GM-ers was ,quite simply, better than sex.
Butt-ugly 4-door box. Man ,everytime I think about it I follow with a cigarette and a nap.

you can make those mid-late 80's turbo 4 bangers nasty. you run still at Piedmont moeflo?? i go there and dunn/benson. live in raleigh. you'll see me hanging around with a lifted ram 1500 or hopefully later this spring or summer running a white duster 340. should be track ready soon, whenever i get the time to work on it...

Wink

Bought my '86 GLH Turbo brand new in April of '86. Never had so much fun with a car in my life. Get up & go, handling, what a package! Wrecked it 13 months later, driving like an idiot. Over the next few years it's going to make my '84 Rampage one of the most fun little sleepers I've ever had. Can't wait to get it together. How sweet it will be!!!

Cool

We just sold our nice black 84 GLH(goes like hell).Owned it since new. It didn't come with the turbo, but had the rest of the package. Great handling little car with some zip to boot. Not much of a body, but chrysler didn't have a lot to work with in 84. Presently we're looking for the Shelby Charger to fix up. It's a little nicer looking car.

I had the pleasure to drive several of those cars when I was a line technician at a Dodge dealer. It was a very impressive car.Later the "GLHS" came avalible, which was a 2dr.Omni/Charger with the same driveline and the intercooled turbo 2.2,Koni shocks and Momo leather appointments(steering wheel and shift knob)I had bought a Plymouth Turismo earlier that year and then we had a GLHS come on the lot.So I ask the now ex-wife about trading the Plymouth in.She didn't want any part of that little black monster.Probably another reason why she's the ex-wife too.
