Underdrive power steering pulleys... are they worth it ?
I need to get everybodys opinion on underdrive pulleys.. in particular a power steering one... My dart steers pretty easily and still has decent steering response for an old car. Would power steering underdrive pulleys give me any noticable power ? And would I be able to notice the difference driving the car and steering it ?

From the been there done that still have them on the car camp. The answer to all 3 questions is NO.
Get them because ... 1, you want them 2. your pulleys are bent, dented etc... a set would cure the belt throwing problem. 3. They look cool 4. you have money to waste on parts that provided minamal power incrase on a car thats not racing. I have the March serpintine pulleys. I no longer throw belts and have no cooling issues. March did not surrply yhe correct bolts and I had to make 2 calls to get it straightened out. But they were helpful. If you get them and have cooling problems, your system needed to be addressed even before you put them on. You just didn't know it until the last straw was put on to push it over the limit. |
