Default trans trouble

I have a 99 Ram Cummins with an auto trans. The trans doesnt want to upshift out of 1st gear. Any ideas?

Most likely it is the gov. pressure transducer. It is mounted on the valve body.
Get a gauge and put it on the trans gov. port. The pressure should go up about 1 psi for each mph.

There are other things such as stuck valve.

I forgot something,,

Most dealer techs will change both, the solenoid --4617210 and the transducer --56028196 since the pan is off.
You will spend about $150.
