Just something that happened recently that I thought I would pass along to the group. I did quite a bit of testing - shopping - test driving - research re: buying a new truck. It has been ongoing for about a month now. Recently went to a GMC dealer and test drove a 1/2 ton GMC 4x4 with the 5.3 vortec engine (not impressed). Dealer sales droid calls me couple of days after I was there. Wants to know what my intentions are and if I'm still interested...? Said no, buying a Dodge...! He starts in with - "Oh your kidding me not a Dodge - Jesus, buy anything else but don't buy a Dodge - I'd rather see you buy a Ford than Dodge" I said whats your problem with the Dodge...? He starts with ... consumer reliability issues - recalls - then ends with the frame says the frame is two parts not a solid unit and this is bad - yada- yada - yada... I hung-up...!!!

I would have parked my new Dodge on top of him, just so he could get a better look at the frame of course.

The new Dodge frame is extremely strong and extremely safe. I'd rather have a two piece frame crumple but save my life than bend a little and kill me!

You knew better than to go to a Chevy dealer though didn't you.

New car dealers are worse than used car dealers these days. I had one tell me I got a great deal on my Talon when I paid $10,000 for it. Then he told me I was gettting a great deal when he offered me $5,000 trade in! It had every option available in 91 and they had two non TSi's with low options on the lot. They wanted $6,000 and $7,000 for them and they were in bad shape.
