A few weeks ago, I saw an NS(96 to 00 style) body Caravan, with manufacturer's plates on I-96 near South Haven, MI. It had something like probably 245-75-15 tires on it, four wheel independant suspension, and appeared to be all wheel drive. there was an obvious wire loom running along the left rear brake line in the fender well, I assume for the data acuisition computer mounted in the passenger seat. Grease pencil "DO NOT OPEN" on both slider doors, no wiper module, and the radiator was too far back from the bumper/grille area for it to be a Caravan drivetrain. In other words, an obvious test vehicle. When the driver caught me checking it out, he made a very quick exit from the highway and disappeared. INTERESTING...

Yep, there are a lot of DC test mules running around southern michigan. There are 2 SRT Neons, several heavily covered up giant suv's, and a couple others. AS far as I know the Neon and mini Suv are just engineering studies. The big suv, well thats a go for 2003 I think.
