Sure grip question
# P4529273 This is suposed to be a sure grip, but it's not. It's a trak lok. It's the one that has the wire springs and clutches between the case and the spider gears. Nothing like the ones I'm used to running. Will it hols up under a mild 360 4 spd car or should I put in one of my better ones??
It's new and I got it cheap off e bay so I wont be out too much if it grenades on me, but I dont want to have to work on it again latter on. |

Is this trac lok worth 170.00 or what? Hope it will work ok behind this combo. Short on good sure grips right now.

The springs tell me its a aubrn type posi. There pretty good, not as good as the old clutch types. Sounds like a good deal, the new ones i have seen are around or over $300 new.

It's pretty mild engine, but a 4 spd puts a lot of extra stress on the rear since it comes on so much stronger than an auto car. Just wondered if it will hold up long. Just does not look as strong as a cone or clutch type sure grip.
