Hello-I rented this flick the other night and my friend and I got into a friendly argument about it ,I say it is lost and then his dad showed me a 1994 MCG that had a letter from a jeff hirsch in Munster Indiana that supposedly said a guy near him had it(it was setting under a tarp on a side street in some guys drive way). I said the guy was full of it because it would have been in all the magazines by now. Does anyone know the true story first hand on this car(I have heard several some guy storys, but it is always a friend of a friend of a friend and the locations are always different).Maybe there is someone on here from Munster or nearby that can check it out or actually knows something.
Oh yeah we bet a pizza on it.

As quoted from the Phantasm web site (http://www.phantasm.com)

http://www.phantasm.com/hpages/Cuda2FAQ.html

"By the time filming was complete, the black 'Cuda was in pitiful mechanical condition and went to a member of the film crew. There it sat in his driveway until sold for $1,000 to an unknown buyer. At that point, the original Phantasm movie 'Cuda disappeared. "

As it appears that the VIN was not recorded by anyone from the movie, there is no way to determine if it is the one.

Biggrin

Actually I saw the (supposedly) charger from Blade at Ozzfest a couple of years ago. It was being raffled off.
