That is one cool machine.

A series, I almost bought one, before I bought my van. Mine needs a few more mods to be compeditive with that(Actually a lot more LOL)

I was thinking it would rock the socks off, the young guys at the track to pull a 14 in a van. I'll work on it

Hey Marc, send me that pic, and your info. Join the Van club man! Of course it's mopar only. I'll post the pic, on the van page of my site. I like the flames

I got the info, thanks dwc.

I'm a little preoccupied today. My Dad passed away wednessday morning. I hadn't planned on bringing it up on the boards, but It's obviously very forefront in my thinking right now. That said, I would have mentioned it sooner or later anyway.

He put up a good fight, with lymphatic cancer. They told him he had 5 weeks to live, in november. He was Tougher than they thought, I guess.

This is a friendly bunch of guys here, and I've always been interested in other peoples life issues (Doug wilson 's health, Cuda66273's recent bout with breathing problems)

Thanks

Dave, sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Dad last year and my Mom 2 years before that. The thing that helped me the most was thinking of their good points, and the memories you have of them. I detest country music, but I listened to my Dad's favourites for a few weeks after he passed. Johnny Cash (not bad actually, sorta grunge country) Hank Williams Sr., Hank Snow et al. Gave me the feeling He was there with me. Dave you will feel better day by day and eventually you will think fondly of your Dad and smile. I also drank a lot of whiskey and beer for a week or so. I don't reccomend that though. You will make it through, and you will be a stronger man for it. My condolences to you and your family in this time of grief.

Andrew

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Dave.
My Dad passed away twenty years ago, the sad part is I never really found him to be much of a Dad. He left when I was young and basically ignored his family. A visit here, a visit there......
My heart goes out to someone who obviously had a GOOD father/son relationship.
My condolences as well.

I had no idea Dave, I just thought you might had missed the post. I'm very sorry to hear this bad news. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

My Grandmother on moms side is the last remaining grand parent I have. She's 86 and is having trouble with congestive heart failure. Scares us ever time she has to go to the hospital, but so far she's fought and pulled out, but we all know it's a matter of time. Gods just not ready for her yet. I do know how you feel though.

My condolences to you and the family. Hang in there, it's tuff but the pain will pass and the memories never will.

Default Thanks for the nice comments

Right now with the 440 in the van it will run 10.70's @ 122. When I had my first 496 stroker I went as quick as 9.55 @ 134. I am in the process of building another 496 but with E heads this time, so maybe I can justify putting the wheelie bars back on.
If your interested I have a larger picture on my web site at loghomeadvice.com ,click on the motorsports page.
All I owned sice the 70's have been vans, so you can add me to your van club.

Thanks again, you guys.

I'm doing better each day.

I appreciate the offer 345dart. Actually, I've found that fiquring out this holley thing, to be a good distraction

It (the holley) did seem to work well, by the end of the night

Dave, did you read that post by the guy that owns that van picture I started this topic with? ah100 or something like that?

That's why I brought it back up so you could read that. For the van club and all.

Yes I saw the post. Those are crazy times, for sure.

And interested in the club!

Vans rock.

I haven't heard from Abalto on a vanclub chat board yet. I'll hit him with an email next week.
