Default Vehicle Weight Question

Quick question Ive heard too many people argue over, and I just wanted to clear things up. What is GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) that is listed on the decal inside the drivers door of almost all vehicles. Ive heard so many different answers like the weight with a full load, the weight of it with full passengers, some people say its the curb weight which i know is with nothing in it. I actually do inspection stickers here in Mass. and I enter the GVWR on the door into the computer for every one that I do, but never knew the exact definition. Thanks.

When I took a test for a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) GVWR referred to the weight of the vehicle and its contents, regardless of what the contents are.

To exceed that weight is overloading the vehicle.

If you are in a bobtail with a GVWR of 26000 lbs. and you roll across the scales at 26001 lbs...you busted!

GVWR is the total of the NET weight of the vehicle plus anything that is in it.

Like jasontlit said in his post, this is MAX! Even with slim chicks and light beer it's still the limit!

All I have to say 'bout the plumpies...they belong in Z28's (preferably from the 80's)

Fat chicks are like Mopeds; fun to ride, but you dont want to be seen on one! Honestly, they do try harder....
