Laugh I need more power!

I hooked up the Lokar kick down today. Runs much better, the tranny actually shifts like it should. Sort of anyhow.
I'm gonna crank up the line pressure in the valve body and go to Type F fluid...

I definetly feel the need for more horse power. I'm sure I'll see some in tuning. I haven't messed with the jets yet, but I have put a yellow spring in the carburaetor. I set the timing to 14 initial and 33 at some unknown RPM...
The distributor will get a curve...
Then, it's to the exhaust shop for an X pipe, should pick up some good power there!

I hope to try some 3.91s or 4.10s in the rear, but if that doesn't do it, I'm bolting on the ported heads!
I decided just to try and do them as cheaply as possible while still using good parts. I don't want to really do anymore work to them, I just want to put guides, chevy valves and a good valve job and get it so they will seal to the intake.

I think they should be good for 40-50 HP with my engine combination, and that is definetly something you can feel.

I need to go to the weigh station and weigh the sucker!
