According to Hot Rod magazine, Dodge has officially killed the idea. Most already knew the 300 Hemi was eliminated, but not the Charger! I guess there's at least hope for the RWD Intrepid.
Disappointing...I guess it'll be another Mustang for me in 2003 to park beside my '99 GT. |

As stated in another forum, on this board, that article is based on news from about 3 or 4 months ago.
Yes, the 4 door got the red light. At the same time, it was stated that the Charger was still going to be built, just not the one that they showed off. Chrysler had approved designs for a 2 door version. Rumor is that the 2 door is still going to be built. The word is that the 363 Hemi is still going to be built. It will be used in a Special Edition Grand Cherokee, the Charger and the 300N. The 300N Convertible has also gotten the Red light. We will not know many facts, about anything, until Deiter makes his announcements in February. That is when he will tell everybody what his plans are, to make Chrysler profitable, again. ------------------ Ed - MoPower '96 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT CC 360 4X4 '68 Charger 383-4 '69 Coronet 500 Convertible 440-4 |
