anybody know what happened to Richard Pettys 43/jr super stock Barracuda from the 60's.my buddy seems to think it was crashed.anybody know?

I guess you know that it was involved in an accident with a spectator fatality? It was probably the last time he ran it, but I don't know what happened to it afterwards.

AS a matter of fact, I do know where the remains of the 43/Jr Barracuda are. A man named Billy West Peedin has it in his Mopar junk yard near Selma N.C. I was out there about two years ago trying to score a decent deck lid for a '66 Coronet I had. Claims are he and Maurice are good buddies. As far as the car is concerned, isn't much left of it though, just most of the shell and of course, the front end is mangled beyond recognition.
