The B&M Transpack, TransGo TF-2, TCI Trans-scat kits are virtually identical in content and format.
Choose any of them either by brand name or price and you'll get what you're looking for.

B&M shift kits can be nightmares, mines well play it safe and go with a Trans-Go, they're great and basically problem free.

B&m want cut it in mopars. And they are not all alike. TCI can fix you up with everything you need for your tranny.

I've used Trans Go kits in the past and they are fine. I've also been very happy with Turbo- Action. I'm sure there are others though that perform equally as well.

No it's my daily driver just want it to kick when it shifts . Until I'm out of college it will get a header, 4bbl intake, and maybe an 1800 - 2000 stall
Thanks,
Jared

Oh and you might as well give me a price for a stall converter (1800 - 2000) It's behind a slant six so not sure if the bellhousing will change the converter needed for a 904 3 speed.
Thanks,
Jared

Below is a pic of the TCI Trans-Scat reprogramming kit for the Torqueflight direct from their website.
To the individual who continues to claim that B&m want cut it in mopars. And they are not all alike I challenge you to tell us which components in this kit are different from the B&M Transpack or the TransGo TF-2.

OK I'm looking for a TCI or a TransGo shift kit. Never been a real big fan of B&M not sure why just haven't, friend has a ford that has B&M it works fine just don't really want one. Looked at the TCI and TransGO leaning towards the TCI though.

I have always preferred my 440 motors painted orange, red is OK but I really don't like green or turquoise.

Wouldn't it be silly to come on this forum and say orange 440's run better than turquoise 440's if they're both the same inside?

Same for reprogramming kits.

Maybe so but like you just said you prefer orange. The insides may be the same, but you have to also think of how they got there if someone casts a block and it cools to fast or something else it may appear to be the same and it may even show the same under tests but after you start running it hard on a strip it cracks. So how they look and even appear under a test doesn't always hold. So I know they may be the same I just prefer not to have B&M just as you prefer to have an orange block

Dart dont worry about Jk. He's in a pissing contest with me and TCI. He hates TCI and would like to marry a b&m product so he will always go against what I say. Therefore I ignore him. And as long as I dont argue back most will ignore it too.

As for the answer to your question I can get them a little cheaper that the price you posted, but not by much since I'm not one of there dealers. There's a spot on there site to plug in all your car info and they will set you up with what you need. To be honest, I'd just get it straight from them. I'd like to sell you one, but it's not a lot of difference in the price. Plus they will take care of you too if you have a prob with it. I like to be straight up with my customers and friends unlike some company's. So that way they will come back for something else in the future. If I can get anything else for you please let me know. Thanks, David

WRONG!!!
I have said nothing bad about TCI and I definitely don't "hate" them, you'll notice I even stated that I have used their products and have been quite happy with them, just as I have been with B&M, TransGo, Fairbanks, Superior, and Level 10.

I will continue to "go against" those who mindlessly rant against one product and don't have the courage to back up their claims.

Endless product bashing can be more detrimental to the credibility of the basher than the products he targets with his bile. dwc43's credibility is in the toilet.

Ok well it's just a matter of choice for me now I don't have anything bad to say about them just don't like B&M for some reason never said they were bad just prefer not to use them. I'll either get a TCI or a trans-go. Oh and I also prefer my blocks orange that's the color of my car and my /6 block. Appreciate all the input. Thanks

Below is a pic of a TCI Trans-Scat kit direct from their website. Below that is a scan of the B&M Transpack from their instruction sheet.
Can you say identical? Most of the individual components probably come from the same vendor, even looks like they used the same photo, so one of them is quilty of plagiarizing.
You could use the same photo(s) for the TransGo TF-2.
Choose your kit by brand name or because the box is prettier but you'll be getting the same thing at different prices.

Ya send me a price for it. My e-mail is huh@gbronline.com have a Trans-Go that I'm interested in from someone else, but I'd prefer a TCI so send me a price. The Trans-Go is $30 and won't pay more than $10 more for something else so if you'll take $40 or less I'll be interested.

Nah, the best I'll do is $50.00 and I'll pay shipping. It cost me $58.00 from summit. I'll just return it to them. Good luck.

My apologies to anyone I might have "hacked off".

By all means, choose the kit by the color of the package. If you're attracted to the one in the purple and green box with the orange stripe, it's gotta be the best choice.

Bwahahahaha!!!!

Post cheap shift kit

seem to recall a shift kit that HotRod did on a 727 (and should work on 904) that only required a bolt and some drilling...worked well behind my 440 in a Coronet, but now i can't find it...remeber if cost me .38 cents though.

Howdy,

I used a B&M shift kit on a 904 a few years back and personally was not happy with it. The trans was in good stock mechanical shape other than the kit and it did very little for the shift.

Just finished building a more race oriented 904 for my Dart and used a Turbo Action Rev manual valve body and WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

If you're into REALLY hard second and third shifts, I recommend getting the manual valve body.

I have a severe 1-2 shift traction problem right now. It shifts so hard the car gets very squirrelly. I'm using fat street tires so that is definitely an issue. I tried the BFG drag radials and they hook OK. Still exploring "sticky" tire options at this point.

Just turn the line pressure some. A turn or two and it will stop shocking the tires so hard during the shift.
